Hi everyone from Travis DeBardelaben, Tennis Director for the City of Auburn

My staff and I all hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to get
back swinging on the tennis courts here at the City of Auburn / Auburn
University Yarbrough Tennis Center. We have a lot a new exciting players,
clinics and leagues planned for this New Year of 2013.
As most of you are new to tennis , I would like to introduce ACTA ( Auburn
Community Tennis Association ) which is our non-profit organization that
helps promote and grow tennis through leagues and events and is affiliated
with USTA ( United States Tennis Association). ACTA has a new website at
http://www.auburncta.com which will be the working information board for all tennis
within Auburn and surrounding areas. This website helps tie all associations
together to help you and your family understand what all is offered in
tennis.
I also would like to introduce TNL Pro Shop located at the City of
Auburn/ Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center. We provide certified,
trained, insured tennis professionals to teach clinics, lessons and help run
leagues through the City / ACTA and as a private identity. The TNL Tennis
Pro Shop manager will be posting all services we provide from
teaching professionals, clinics, merchandise, etc.
On the www.auburncta.com website as well at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. Our
shop number will be 334-501-2923 or 334-501-2921.
We all work as a team to grow a fun, safe and healthy atmosphere for juniors
and adults of all ages, levels, genders and abilities.
I have assigned a Junior Coordinator for TNL Pro Shop to
help organize and grow the game of tennis through fun-filled clinics and
activities. My staff is here to help you in all areas of education
of the sport of tennis.

Remember that all 10 and under kids receive a FREE USTA membership. Just
go here and sign-up your child today!

Thanks everyone and we can't wait to see you on the courts! Keep
Swinging and Love the Battle!

Colt Ponder

Tennis Professional

I began playing tennis at 16. I played for my high school. We qualified and competed in the AHSAA State Tournament during my senior year.
I helped my high school coach for a year after I graduated. I continue to play and compete in leagues for ACTA and CORTA as well as local tournaments. I became a member of PTR, Professional Tennis Registry, and a certified instructor in 2009.
I have been working as an instructor at YTC ever since. I help instruct Junior Team Tennis, adult clinics, city clinics, camps, and cardio tennis. I enjoy the opportunity tennis has provided me and will continue to further my education through workshops and higher certification.
I look forward to helping others learn the game, fall in love with tennis, and reach their goals.
